TOMS “Style Your Sole” Event
On Sunday, February 17 from 10 AM to 5 PM in the Newman Center Green Hall, the Newman Center will cosponsor a “Style Your Sole” event with TOMS shoes. TOMS Shoes began in 2006, when American traveler Blake Mycoskie befriended children in a village in Argentina and found they had no shoes to protect their feet. Wanting to help, he created TOMS Shoes, a company that would match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One.™
The “Style Your Sole” event will be a collection of artists, live music by musicians such as David Mares (davidmaresmusic.com), community, and an opportunity for you to design your own pair of TOMS Shoes!
For this event, you can order the White Canvas Classics to design yourself or to specify a design for an artist at the event to paint (Men’s, Women’s):
or the University of Arizona Campus Classics (Men’s, Women’s):
by clicking on one of the shoes above and when you check out, use the promo code: STTHOMASMORE
By purchasing shoes for this event, you are supporting not only the mission of TOMS, but also Newman Center campus ministry! The Newman Center is no longer taking orders, so if you would like to order shoes for the event, make a purchase using the TOMS website and bring your shoes to the event.
If you have any questions about the TOMS “Style Your Sole” event coming to the University of Arizona, contact Sofia Battaglia at firstname.lastname@example.org or Sr. Angelica Velez at email@example.com.
