Tuesday, December 24 , – Join us at 8:00 AM to help with the decoration of the Newman Chapel.

POINSETTIA DONATIONS – We are in need of poinsettia donations for the Christmas season. Please bring your poinsettias to the front desk by Monday. Financial donations toward purchasing the plants are also accepted. Thank you.

Regular Mass schedule resumes the weekend of January 18-19

Dedication Bricks – In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the dedication of the Newman Center Church, we are creating a new outdoor Marian Devotional Space within the existing rose garden. Students, alumni, parishioners, parents, and benefactors are invited to purchase engraved bricks which will pave the renovated space. Each brick is $100.00 and can be ordered at the front office.

MONDAY NIGHT READING GROUP</span>
7:30 PM
Join the Monday night reading group with Fr. James as we discuss the encyclical, “Lumen Fidei” The group meets in the Newman Library and will resume on Monday, January 27, 2014.

LIVES OF THE SAINTS
Tuesdays, 6:00 PM
We invite you to join this student led discussion on the Lives of the Saints. Each week we share an article, book, or prayer reflection on the lives of a saint. The group meets on Tuesday night at 6:00 PM in the Library. Feel free to come and join in our discussion. No outside readings are required. The next session will begin Tuesday, January 21, 2014.

RCIA INQUIRY
Tuesdays at 7 PM
We invite anyone who is interested in becoming Catholic and anyone who is not Catholic but interested in learning more about the Catholic faith to join us every Tuesday Night at 7:00 PM. SERVE AT CASA MARIA CATHOLIC WORKER HOUSE
Mondays and Thursdays at 8:15 AM

Casa Maria is a Catholic Worker House that serves the poor and homeless in South Tucson. Only a few miles away, this community of workers provides members of the Newman Center with the opportunity to serve and grow in understanding of the mission of the Catholic Workers. If interested, meet us at the Newman Center at 8:15 AM on Mondays and Thursdays. If you have any questions, contact Casey at charlesrhoyack@email.arizona.edu

WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDENT MASS
Wednesdays at 7:30 PM
Every Wednesday night we invite all students to our Wednesday Student Mass! At 7:30, we begin with a time of praise and worship to prepare our hearts as we transition into Mass. The Mass is unique since it features a discussion homily. After Mass, we have different types of snacks and invite everyone to hang out. The student Mass will resume January 22, 2014.

Upcoming Events

Spring 2014 Parking Permits –
You must be a registered Newman parishioner to receive a parking permit. Applications for spring 2014 parking permits are now being accepted through Friday, December 13. Spring parking permits are $100. Those receiving permits will be notified by December 20. There will be no special status granted to people who’ve had a permit in the past. A Newman parking permit grants the right to park in a Newman lot from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday ONLY. No overnight parking. A permit does not guarantee the availability of a space.

Electronic Funds Transfer – The Newman Center has EFT available to make it possible for you to make your regular contribution by automatic deduction from your checking account. This is intended to help those who would like to help being more intentional with their regular parish stewardship. Pick up an Authorization Form at the front desk.
