Tuesday, –December 10, 7:00 PM – Our Lady of Guadalupe Icon of Justice. Join us for a unique presentation for all ages; a retelling of the apparition with artistic expressions from near and far. The Jordan Ministry Team offers this opportunity to take a new look at Our Lady of Guadalupe from a historical, religious and cultural perspective! The presenter is Rebecca Pina-Cammorata. Rebecca holds a Master of Arts in Latin-American Literature from the University of Arizona. She completed the Lay Ecclesial Ministry Certification Program in the Diocese of Tucson in June 2012. Active in Hispanic Ministry, she is also a wife and mother of two grown sons.

Sunday, December 15, Baccalaureate Mass – If you are receiving a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s or Doctorate we would like to honor you at the 5:00 PM Mass on Sunday. Please leave your name and information with the office.
Sunday, December 15 – Pasta Dinner – Join us for the monthly pasta dinner after the 5:00PM Mass.
Dedication Bricks – In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the dedication of the Newman Center Church, we are creating a new outdoor Marian Devotional Space within the existing rose garden. Students, alumni, parishioners, parents, and benefactors are invited to purchase engraved bricks which will pave the renovated space. Each brick is $100.00 and can be ordered at the front office.

MONDAY NIGHT READING GROUP
7:30 PM
Join the Monday night reading group with Fr. James as we discuss the encyclical, “Lumen Fidei” The group meets in the Newman Library.

LIVES OF THE SAINTS
Tuesdays, 6:00 PM
We invite you to join this student led discussion on the Lives of the Saints. Each week we share an article, book, or prayer reflection on the lives of a saint. The group meets on Tuesday night at 6:00 PM in the Library. Feel free to come and join in our discussion. No outside readings are required.

RCIA INQUIRY
Tuesdays at 7 PM
We invite anyone who is interested in becoming Catholic and anyone who is not Catholic but interested in learning more about the Catholic faith to join us every Tuesday Night at 7:00 PM. SERVE AT CASA MARIA CATHOLIC WORKER HOUSE
Mondays and Thursdays at 8:15 AM

Casa Maria is a Catholic Worker House that serves the poor and homeless in South Tucson. Only a few miles away, this community of workers provides members of the Newman Center with the opportunity to serve and grow in understanding of the mission of the Catholic Workers. WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDENT MASS
Wednesdays at 7:30 PM
Every Wednesday night we invite all students to our Wednesday Student Mass! At 7:30, we begin with a time of praise and worship to prepare our hearts as we transition into Mass. The Mass is unique since it features a discussion homily. After Mass, we have different types of snacks and invite everyone to hang out.

Upcoming Events
Spring 2014 Parking Permits –
You must be a registered Newman parishioner to receive a parking permit. Applications for spring 2014 parking permits are now being accepted through Friday, December 13. Spring parking permits are $100. Those receiving permits will be notified by December 20. There will be no special status granted to people who’ve had a permit in the past. A Newman parking permit grants the right to park in a Newman lot from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday ONLY. No overnight parking. A permit does not guarantee the availability of a space.

Tuesday, December 24 – 5:00 PM (Children’s Mass), 8:00 PM, and Midnight
Wednesday, December 25 – 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM
Newman Center will be closed December 26, 27, and December 30-January 3.

Sunday, December 22 – 8:30-AM, 10:30AM & 5:00 PM
Saturday, December 28 – 5:15 PM
Sunday, December 29- 8:30 AM, 10:30AM, and 5:00PM
Tuesday, December 31 – 5:15 PM (Vigil Mass for Holy Day)
Wednesday, January 1 5:15 PM (Mary, Mother of God, Holy Day of Obligation)

Sunday, January 5 – 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, & 5:00 PM

Regular Mass schedule resumes the weekend of January 11-12.
