Friday, February 28 – Freshmen Checkpoint #3 – Meet at 6:00 PM at Newman!
Saturday, March 1 – Undergrad Hike to Seven Falls, meet 8:30 AM at Newman
Monday, March 3 – Fr. James will begin leading a monthly Book discussion starting Monday March 3rd at 7:30PM in the Newman Library. At the first meeting C.S. Lewis’ That Hideous Strength will be discussed.
Dedication Bricks – In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the dedication of the Newman Center Church, we are creating a new outdoor Marian Devotional Space within the existing rose garden. Students, alumni, parishioners, parents, and benefactors are invited to purchase engraved bricks which will pave the renovated space. Each brick is $100.00 and can be ordered at the front office.
Tuesdays at 7 PM
We invite anyone who is interested in becoming Catholic and anyone who is not Catholic but interested in learning more about the Catholic faith to join us every Tuesday Night at 7:00 PM. SERVE AT CASA MARIA CATHOLIC WORKER HOUSE
Mondays and Thursdays at 8:15 AM
Casa Maria is a Catholic Worker House that serves the poor and homeless in South Tucson. Only a few miles away, this community of workers provides members of the Newman Center with the opportunity to serve and grow in understanding of the mission of the Catholic Workers. If interested, meet us at the Newman Center at 8:15 AM on Mondays and Thursdays. If you have any questions, contact Casey at email@example.com

WEDNESDAY MORNING SCRIPTURE SERIES

Wednesday at 8:00 AM
Fr. Bart will begin by examining the Prophetic Tradition of Ancient Israel. Participants will examine texts from the Prophet Isaiah associated with the Lenten Cycle of Readings in the Church’s Liturgy. The session will last one hour and begins on Wednesday, January 29.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT STUDENT MASS
Wednesdays at 7:30 PM
Every Wednesday night we invite all students to our Wednesday Student Mass! At 7:30, we begin with a time of praise and worship to prepare our hearts as we transition into Mass. The Mass is unique since it features a discussion homily. After Mass, we have different types of snacks and invite everyone to hang out.
SPRING BREAK SERVICE PROJECT – The Social Justice Team will be leading a service trip to The Nature Conservancy’s Three Links Ranch to work on Saving the San Pedro River in southern Arizona. Theology on Tap

SUSTAINING BOARD UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The Newman Sustaining Board is offering two $5,000 scholarships to be awarded for the 2014-2015 academic year. Application forms can be found at: www.uacatholic.org/scholarship/. Completed applications are to be delivered to the Newman Center office by no later than Noon, Friday, March 14, 2014.

Saturday, March 8 – Meet at San Miguel High School 8:00 AM Continental Breakfast; 9:00AM Morning Prayer; 9:30 AM Presentation 2, 11:30 AM Midday Prayer; 12:00 PM Lunch; 1:00 PM Presentation 3; 4:00 PM Sunday Vigil Mass
There will be separate tracks for adults, teens (6-12) & children (K-5)
Cost: $10.00 per person and $20.00 per family
